OUR MISSION STATEMENT

CREATING LIFESTYLES AROUND FAMILY AND FUN THROUGH INDUSTRY-LEADING PRODUCTS AND CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Over 35 years ago a family set out on a journey to create a better life for future generations.  Five members of that family became the foundation of a business that has survived through thick and thin.  The business has grown to encompass many aspects of its industry with over 60 employees, 42 trucks, and 3,500 square feet of showroom space.  That business is Johnson Pool and Spa!

The business began as a pool construction and renovation company in Healdsburg, CA operating out of the owner’s residence.

The company was co-founded by Lupe and Barbara Perezchica and their daughter Tina with her husband Stan Johnson.  Lupe and Barbara's son, Matt Perezchica was the first employee of the business.  Lupe had 16 years of pool construction experience at the time and a great understanding of what it took to build a quality, long-lasting pool.  Stan would sell them, Lupe and Matt would build them, and Barbara and Tina handled the books.

In 1993, the Service and Repair Department was born.  Over the next several years, the department grew from a handful of pool maintenance accounts to currently over 1200 clients throughout Sonoma County.   It was a natural progression to service and maintain the pools they were already constructing.  It was one more way that they could better serve their clients.  When asked about their client base, Matt put it best, “Our job is to make their lives more enjoyable and for 32 years that is what we are most proud of.”

During the time the Service and Repair Department was being established, they outgrew Tina’s home and moved the business to Windsor.  There they opened their first retail store, an 800 square foot space in the Raley’s Shopping Center.  That location served them well until 2005 when they moved into their new home at 9650 Old Redwood Hwy., Windsor, CA.  In 2016 they purchased the old Sunshine Pools and turned that into Johnson Pool and Spas Santa Rosa location. Their current locations have enabled them to continue to grow and add such products as Jacuzzi Hot Tubs, Caldera Spas, Traeger Pellet Grills, and an assortment of pool chemicals, toys and accessories to enhance the enjoyment of their client’s backyard living.

Through the years the family and business have stuck together and today they employ Lupe and Barbara’s grandsons, Aaron and Alex Johnson and other extended family members.  Most importantly they feel as though all of the employees are like family.  In return, they have an amazing and dedicated crew, all of who have the same goal of making Sonoma County the best place to live outdoors!
